From the very deep end of Anderson Valley, This one acre vineyard, planted on its own roots during the early 1970's to a mystery clone of Pinot Noir is one of the oldest Pinot Noir plantings in Anderson Valley. The maturity of these vines coupled with this deep end locale have produced a very complex and unique example of Anderson Valley. Deep red bing cherry, forest under story and subtle leather are immediately apparent with wafts of thyme, penny royal and rose petals. There is something rather exotic and wild about this wine but understated without giving too much away immediately. We think this is the best vintage thus far working with this vineyard.
