2021 Faîte De Mer Farm Radiolaria Chardonnay
2021 Faîte De Mer Farm 'Radiolaria' Chardonnay Mendocino Ridge This 2021 Radiolaria Chardonnay is our first estate Chardonnay from Faîte De Mer Farm. We combine three blocks from three different soils types, planted to Dijon 548, Wente and Dijon 76. Our soils are of ancient ocean floor sedimentary origins which contain deep sea bed rock called chert which is formed from deep sea plankton that dropped onto the seafloor millions of years ago and then was pushed and scraped up as part of the formation of our Mendocino Coast Ridges. This coastal site produces a mouthwatering, mineral and citrus driven Chardonnay that is lively, intense and delicious. Lime blossoms, satsuma and flint are in the forefront along with a bit of citrus pith on the long lively finish that implores you to come back for more. Pair with salmon sashimi or seared scallops or anything else coming out of the ocean. Delicious!
