The Valenti Ranch sits at 1300-1450 ft and six miles from the ocean along the Greenwood Ridge. The vineyard lies in both the Mendocino Ridge and Anderson Valley AVA's. We have been working with this 20 year old vineyard for 14 years now, as we took over the vineyard lease in 2013, converting to organic practices during that year. We grafted an acre and a half over to a Rochioli field selection in 2012. This 2017 vintage includes the Dijon 667, 828, Pommard and the section of Rochioli. This 20 year old mature site is really coming into itself here. Black cherry, exotic tea and subtle forest mushrooms on the nose with lifted red fruits on the palate along with forest mushroom and subtle conifer notes. The aligned acidity provides a long and persistent finish. We feel this is the most impressive vintage of this vineyard to date. Pair with Wild Mushroom Risotto or Grilled King Salmon.

"The 2017 Pinot Noir Valenti Ranch is a pretty, relatively small-scale wine. Floral and lifted, displaying lovely detail, it is one of the quieter Pinots in the range. Freshly cut flowers, mint and red berry fruit add an air of sensuality to this expressive, mid-weight Pinot"
