This is a formidable addition to our single vineyard lineup from the outer boundary of the Anderson Valley. The Fashauer Vineyard is located along the Greenwood Ridge on the western rim of the valley. This mid elevation site is sloped to the south east. The soils are sedimentary in origin, high in mineral content. Deep red cranberry and Asian plums along with orange zest and distinct quartz notes. This wine continues to unfold in the glass with wafts of forest mushrooms and wild thyme. This is a highly structured wine with the bones to go the distance in the cellar. Fermentation: 100% Native Yeast, $48 / 13.4% Alc. |
