Jason Drew has long been one of my favorite producers for Pinot Noir from the far coastal reaches of Northern California as he concentrates on low yields from specific mature sites, selected clones, and a philosophy for élevage (all 2015 were aged in barrel for 11 months) encompassing a range of whole cluster native yeast ferments and rarely more than 1/3 new oak on a wine. His releases regularly show focused acidity, bright vitality and beautifully defined fruit.
